</tbody></table>Cristen says...<br />
This <a href="http://sassychicblog.blogspot.com/2011/03/vintage-silhouette-party-details.html">Vintage Silhouette Party</a> was so much fun to create. In creating this party with Kate Landers, she gave me the advice to take one design element and continue it throughout the party. Great advice that translates perfectly to any party theme!<br />
<br />
I chose to go with 2 main elements: Silhouette and Doilies<br />
You'll see these 2 items used throughout the entire party. One or the other or both is used in nearly every aspect along with the color scheme of light blue and peach. <br />
It made for a very cohesive, beautiful look when all was said and done.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8v7y-f-W2Eq7oJuE1ekx3htFpT76UBaw6x3Q9yeA98Ctb4V6VDCk8YrPMUaLcztRQyixxmJjmj19gOtZq8ua6qa0jbpzScFZH3EddRZ0QB8N9v-AYKRcKHNzdbldv3Ua4t155WFUsRbdi/s1600/invite+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="267" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8v7y-f-W2Eq7oJuE1ekx3htFpT76UBaw6x3Q9yeA98Ctb4V6VDCk8YrPMUaLcztRQyixxmJjmj19gOtZq8ua6qa0jbpzScFZH3EddRZ0QB8N9v-AYKRcKHNzdbldv3Ua4t155WFUsRbdi/s400/invite+2.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><strong><span style="font-size: large;">The Invitations:</span></strong></div>The invitation sets the tone for the entire party. It gives the guests a peek into what they can expect at the event. I knew I wanted to incorporate both the main elements. <br />
<br />
<strong>STEP 1:</strong> After a few trials and errors the invites came together. I used a simple light blue paisley scrapbook paper that I cut into 5x7 rectangles for the base.<br />
<strong>STEP 2:</strong> I then printed the invitation wording onto 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of light blue cardstock. I then cut them into 4x6 sizes to allow the border to still be seen. <br />
<strong>STEP 3:</strong> I changed the coloring of Savannah's silhouette (created by <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/YesmCreative?ref=seller_info">Yes'm Creative</a> on Etsy) to a light blue and printed it onto a sheet of velum. I cut these into 4x6 sizes as well. <br />
<strong>STEP 4:</strong> The fun part - putting it all together! I laid the blue cardstock and velum together on top of the 5x7 paisley and once I got it where I wanted it, I punched 2 holes about an inch apart. <br />
<strong>STEP 5:</strong> I slipped 7/8" blue satin ribbon through both the holes on top so only a solid strip was showing. I didn't want anything to fancy here. <br />
<strong>STEP 6:</strong> I laid the invitation on a 12" doily and cut the bottom and top of the doily so it only stuck out on the sides. I centered the invite on the doily and wrapped the 2 sides of the doily around the invite so they overlaped just slightly. <br />
<strong>STEP 7:</strong> Another idea I took from Kate was to add some type of ribbon around the invite like it was a little present. I love any excuse to use a bow and ribbon so I was in. I think it really gave the invite that final touch it needed.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizO3j_xp_xAVBkGs4sbNlX9Lp7f34p6IAhpiaguQw4waHHX4rPh0KZ4bAHZkeSSKQowGWX4aSB2Wuj1pQhlw-zLkzXW_BjpRMZByL3QM4LsKXnwNd7GFbWmRSdTfGKU9w3ENTN1UbL4Plh/s1600/cristen+invite+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="267" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizO3j_xp_xAVBkGs4sbNlX9Lp7f34p6IAhpiaguQw4waHHX4rPh0KZ4bAHZkeSSKQowGWX4aSB2Wuj1pQhlw-zLkzXW_BjpRMZByL3QM4LsKXnwNd7GFbWmRSdTfGKU9w3ENTN1UbL4Plh/s400/cristen+invite+1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>Fabulous, huh? "When we delay our creative yearnings, we, in essence, live in a world of procrastinating our creative truth because we are afraid of it. We, maybe without even knowing it, continue to allow our fears and doubts to swallow our creative spirit"<br />

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Wrap wreath with greenery (18") and ribbon (60") as desired. </span><br />

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Cut 32 small die cut butterflies</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Cut 32 medium die cut butterflies</span><br />
<i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">(If you don't have a die cut machine you can trace shapes using cookie cutters or print a shape from microsoft clipart.)</span></i><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Cut 4 strands of 22" long fishing line</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Using double sided tape or glue dots stick coordinating front and back of each shaped butterfly to the 22" long strand of fishing wire. Start your top set of butterflies 5" from the top. Alternate one small set with one medium set or whatever pattern you choose. I used 2 sets of each size on a strand. </span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Only place glue in the "body" portion of the butterfly so that you can separate the wings into 3-D form. You will create 4 strands.</span><br />

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Using 3 pieces of tulle I made 8 mini poms using the accordion fold tissue paper pom technique. </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">But I have since discovered there are easier ways to make them as shown on <a href="http://www.oncewed.com/7560/diy-wedding/decor/diy-wedding-pom-poms/">Once Wed.</a> </span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Lesson learned for next time!</span><br />
<b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Step 4:</span></b><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Tie 2 poms to a 18" strand of fishing line leaving space in between to tie a coordinating bow. Also leave 3-5" of space from the top so you have room to tie the strand onto the wreath. You will create 4 strands. </span><br />

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Tie your four strands with butterflies and your four strands with poms around the wreath. I alternated the strands and tied at various heights. Trim the fishing line at the top. </span><br />
<b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Step 6:</span></b><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Cut 4 strands of ribbon at 24" length to tie onto the wreath for hanging. Tie each ribbon onto the wreath...space evenly.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWh8yH6Fy59zA7QtFYAieaFgUdHxA7hxO41r5KYImQBrdKA9dpBcutnRjadcgF_6NC63T1S5h6cltgMpyeY-sHV_F4UcvAEaL4uwnaJZSrNJsq3Crlne0rTG7OEW6zcZKa9iIJZcaHGTkP/s1600/IMG_1835.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="350" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWh8yH6Fy59zA7QtFYAieaFgUdHxA7hxO41r5KYImQBrdKA9dpBcutnRjadcgF_6NC63T1S5h6cltgMpyeY-sHV_F4UcvAEaL4uwnaJZSrNJsq3Crlne0rTG7OEW6zcZKa9iIJZcaHGTkP/s400/IMG_1835.JPG" width="525" /></a></div><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Step 7:</span></b><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">This is where it gets a bit tricky for me. Grab all four of the ribbons you just tied on and gather them together above the wreath. The wreath will be hanging below you. </span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmM0qnv4jrvB8E1dB51KXI4Mk-S0dxdrbO3h5kMAhZt4C1DFHl5nC9NMMQY2rvZvEKwJ7xk9hgWhwHfvVOphI5W34vf9zGIjfozBBmsNLeuSEbrgsGV9Z1qtvwrASldX-Tm3uSwWDgIQRf/s1600/IMG_1838.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="350" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmM0qnv4jrvB8E1dB51KXI4Mk-S0dxdrbO3h5kMAhZt4C1DFHl5nC9NMMQY2rvZvEKwJ7xk9hgWhwHfvVOphI5W34vf9zGIjfozBBmsNLeuSEbrgsGV9Z1qtvwrASldX-Tm3uSwWDgIQRf/s400/IMG_1838.JPG" width="525" /></a></div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", serif;">Tie those four ribbons in a knot at the top once you have it balanced where all sides are hanging even. I have to stand to do this and I find an extra set of eyes is helpful to make sure I have all sides even. </span><br />

<div style="border-collapse: collapse; font-size: 13px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;">1. When launching your DREAM <b>don't fear going in phases</b>. It is a process!</span></div><div style="border-collapse: collapse; font-size: 13px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;">2. <b>Find a catalyst</b> resource! A website, blog or person that will feature you. This generates buzz!</span></div><div style="border-collapse: collapse; font-size: 13px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;"><i>3. </i><b>Delegate </b>to experts and don't try to do it all. Involving others generates connections and more buy in. </span></div><div style="border-collapse: collapse; font-size: 13px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;">4. Collaborate, <b>collaborate</b>, collaborate!!!! Join with people you know to get the word out. </span></div><div style="border-collapse: collapse; font-size: 13px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;">5. Make every effort to communicate you are a <b>REAL</b> person that is really responding. Respond to people as quick as possible</span></div><div style="border-collapse: collapse; font-size: 13px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;"><i>6. </i>Brand YOU! <b>Do you know who you are and what you are doing?</b> If not others won't either. Do you have a mission statement?</span></div><div style="border-collapse: collapse; font-size: 13px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;">7. <b>Comment and connect</b> with others by commenting on like minded blogs. People will find you by relating to the comments you make.</span></div><div style="border-collapse: collapse; font-size: 13px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;">8. <b>Be original</b>!</span></div><div style="border-collapse: collapse; font-size: 13px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;">9. GIVEAWAYS, <b>GIVEAWAYS</b>, GIVEAWAYS! <i>Who doesn't like free stuff!</i></span></div><div style="border-collapse: collapse; font-size: 13px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;">10. <b>Make the ASK</b>! Ask people who have already made it BIG to look at your site, your work, your product with the purpose of sharing you with their world. The worst that can happen is that you are told "no". The best that can happen is that it is a "YES" and serves as a catalyst moment!</span></div><div style="border-collapse: collapse; font-size: 13px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Courier New', Courier, monospace;">11. <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">I can put a check mark by the closets!</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhzdrraiuEdI5DM7zqUumncdUsZ2c6euGb1ov90FmUOd3VFzgojZvhGKVhfNmhgAU_8GVNNkCnTh1M3uV7cV7Wn0aVqjffWd8A-UK3R4cLfyiJhGE1QOmVvroZsy4VxiAE6-WXBRbeSfLy/s1600/Graphic1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="292" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhzdrraiuEdI5DM7zqUumncdUsZ2c6euGb1ov90FmUOd3VFzgojZvhGKVhfNmhgAU_8GVNNkCnTh1M3uV7cV7Wn0aVqjffWd8A-UK3R4cLfyiJhGE1QOmVvroZsy4VxiAE6-WXBRbeSfLy/s400/Graphic1.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Two weeks ago I posted this picture of my hall closet on facebook. I was surprised by the response. People empathizing and relating. But there were also "slap me in my face" comments from people SHOCKED and THANKFUL to know I had such a messy closet. </span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">It reminded me that peoples perception of me is not the reality of me. I have spent much of life in this boat. To the point that I wrote my 12th grade oratory on the subject. It was called "Bow Heads Are People Too". Here I am 20 years later still chasing down the topic.</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">So I thought I would provide some Carey perception busters for you!</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">1. <b>I am tough to REALLY get to know.</b></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">I could tell you I am shy, an introvert or really busy. All true reasons that I am tough to know. But the fact is simply that it takes years of friendship and trust building with me to learn all the details of who I am. I once told a therapist that "my dating life stinks because guys tell me they are intimidated by me." I was hoping she would tell me I am not intimidating and instead she looked at me and said "okay, let's talk about what you do to be intimidating." I know I can still this way - I hear it from work colleagues. I don't mean to be. I am still a work in progress.</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">2.<b> I wouldn't be the person I am today without therapy. </b></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Yes, I have spent a combined 10 years in therapy on and off depending on life's circumstances. I believe in it and recommend GREAT therapists for anyone who simply feels a bit lost in what do with emotions of feelings. Yes, it is hard to ask for help but for me it was worth the risk.</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">3. <b>I don't keep junk in my trunk. </b></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">If you knew all the traumas and dramas I have been through your mouth might drop. I don't come across as someone who has been through a lot of junk because I wake up each day and choose to see them as lessons learned and choose to see what God has taught me through the situations and circumstances. Oh yeah and therapy helped! :)</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">4. <b>My screw ups saved me!</b></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">I tell people I have known Jesus since birth and have always been proud to call Him my best friend. But, I can say I never truly got Grace till I was 28 and allowed myself to screw up so royally that I had to get the power of His unconditional love for myself. I get it and I have a grip so tight on His love for me! I am thankful for His saving Grace each day!</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">5. <b>JOY is the best medicine. </b></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">People tell me I make it ALL (work, parties, kids, mothering, etc) look sooooooooooo easy! Well I am here to tell you it is not. None of it is easy but it is FUN! The things I do I do because I LOVE them and have a passion for them. I get up early and I stay up late. If only I could add exercise to my passion list I would be golden. But there are plenty of days that I want to cry or I do cry because I get home from work at 6pm, the house is a train wreck and there is no dinner plan. I get grumpy because I feel like a failure as a wife and a mother. I beat myself up and wish I had planned better, wish I could stay at home or do more in the hours I have. But laughter and joy from my kids and husband snap me out of it and I start over again. </span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">Do I have messy closets? You bet! THAT is reality. </span><br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">"I'm baptizing you here in the river, turning your old life in for a kingdom life. The real action comes next: The main character in this drama—compared to him I'm a mere stagehand—will ignite the kingdom life within you, a fire within you, the Holy Spirit within you, changing you from the inside out. He's going to clean house—make a clean sweep of your lives. He'll place everything true in its proper place before God; everything false he'll put out with the trash to be burned." Matthew 3:11</span></i></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif;">QUESTION: Do you think peoples perception of you is reality? </span></b><br />

My first picks are booked <i>(can you hear me shedding a tear?)</i> for the Spring so I had to start over. Thankfully there are plenty of designers out there. Just have to find the right match.<br />
Here are a few I am liking.<br />

So far so good! But something unexpected is happening in the process.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><i><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: large;">"Jerusalem, stand up! Shine! Your new day is dawning. The glory of the LORD shines brightly on you." You can't even imagine the amount of STUFF that had piled up from all the crafts.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEih1BJkd55EgMMXbTpTT8lglnqNnAYGT8fWFICYCiCH0AIL7LKauUISEv1rFNCSm2E67GyQbADokblO-cej2He1XN2-1HVPXiC6kOiFVMHjYu4Ayro2zYHxSlQvpwl2LsSCAxQ55ok8JeU9/s1600/IMG_1701.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEih1BJkd55EgMMXbTpTT8lglnqNnAYGT8fWFICYCiCH0AIL7LKauUISEv1rFNCSm2E67GyQbADokblO-cej2He1XN2-1HVPXiC6kOiFVMHjYu4Ayro2zYHxSlQvpwl2LsSCAxQ55ok8JeU9/s400/IMG_1701.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>You see this box? I bought it over ten years ago. It has been my devotional box that sits next to my special over stuffed devotional chair. The box and the chair have been "my spot" for Bible reading, journaling, script writing and more for years. The three of us are incredible friends. But what I discovered in the "put things away" process is that this box was over flowing with party goodies. As I unpacked it I only found one item from my devotional box remaining inside. Bubbles...a devotional box staple in my life.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjj9z-fufuJQFD4vE51mJVrLfsVAiq3UelheaYQI8HcIcCMVpLnQcmI0GAk37u9hvUrZqi2HLhZ9RCyoX6Sq3XUFUAH_PehoB6LANdil5B6lz9SGJi15eIVbSZSJUcJFR3AwTdyKjVlKLie/s1600/IMG_1703.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjj9z-fufuJQFD4vE51mJVrLfsVAiq3UelheaYQI8HcIcCMVpLnQcmI0GAk37u9hvUrZqi2HLhZ9RCyoX6Sq3XUFUAH_PehoB6LANdil5B6lz9SGJi15eIVbSZSJUcJFR3AwTdyKjVlKLie/s400/IMG_1703.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>I sat there staring at the bubbles and the box that had once held all my treasures and was saddened. How had I let this happen? How had ribbons, scissors, punches, tape and more made their home in my special spot? The answer is simple.<br />
<b>I let them.</b><br />
I let things take over my God space! Hoping I am not alone in this?<br />
All I can say is "whoops" and start NEW! Beating my self up will serve no purpose!<br />
Next came the fun! I re-set the box. <i><b>Sketch pads, colored pencils, journal, Bible, 2 books I am reading, a cross from a friend, note cards, and my new favorite addition is a photo album</b></i> I quickly made. It has pictures of families and friends with a page that I can write in my prayers and prayer requests for each of them. I am loving it and it keeps me focused during prayer time. And last but certainly not least BUBBLES (yes, I do blow them in the house if I want :)!<br />
So I have come to realize/recognize that cleaning up my stuff is doing so much more for me than I ever planned! God is super ridiculous cool! It's a new day.<br />
<i><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">Question:</span></b></i><br />
<i><b>I am curious if you have a special spot for your quiet time? Do you have a routine to your time or it is new each day?</b></i><br />

Four years of marriage and two kids! I am pretty proud that Eric and I have kept up a pretty healthy married dating life. I am a tad worried it will slack with the in-laws moving in a few weeks. Boo!<br />
Here are few sites I have found helpful.<br />
<a href="http://www.thedatingdivas.com/">The Dating Divas</a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2Z10pUuJE1zawso8OrXfs2hUt3vB0dH3e4ebhRo8UrvQFMZSsS8_zmeYDc13wGCmJaIYKT6Xh3WXS-O6TPvcnK-dXkuY3i4cmmdGtn8ZEIEp0oucQXhZ7DfqnhUU9wa3PNMLpkYXhnB4u/s1600/dating+divas.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2Z10pUuJE1zawso8OrXfs2hUt3vB0dH3e4ebhRo8UrvQFMZSsS8_zmeYDc13wGCmJaIYKT6Xh3WXS-O6TPvcnK-dXkuY3i4cmmdGtn8ZEIEp0oucQXhZ7DfqnhUU9wa3PNMLpkYXhnB4u/s320/dating+divas.png" width="318" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><b><u><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: purple;"><a href="http://springdale.reachforlife.tv/2010/02/the-great-date-experiment/">The Great Date Experiment.</a></span></u></b> Eric was hesitant about this one but afterwards was 100% on board.<br />

I can be organized<br />
and I can organize things.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEha2vwEwoV1iL2rbZa91Rz8NR_zuFewkumkZ0CzONmGLP0MD1GIhXHeRaBKo0Gox_WlYJkuiqQzWmd_6zfunxEjkJzcTqsL89HLxc45tiRwi7Y4OsVrMwL2EWDvCfziVkBbJ3w-MK42pGaX/s1600/IMG_0738.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEha2vwEwoV1iL2rbZa91Rz8NR_zuFewkumkZ0CzONmGLP0MD1GIhXHeRaBKo0Gox_WlYJkuiqQzWmd_6zfunxEjkJzcTqsL89HLxc45tiRwi7Y4OsVrMwL2EWDvCfziVkBbJ3w-MK42pGaX/s400/IMG_0738.JPG" width="298" /></a></div>But keeping things organized fails me. I wish I could blame this on kids but alas I have always been this way.<br />
For accountability here is the game plan.<br />
<b>March 1-6: </b>Clean up from Avery's party and sewing missing buttons and torn hems.<br />
<b>March 7-13:</b> Closets. Give-a-way clothes packed up and gone, shoes organized and prep for Spring/Summer<br />
<b>March 14-20:</b> Back hutch where EVERYTHING lands and the junk drawer.<br />
<b>March 21-27:</b> Pantry! I probably have 5 brown sugars.<br />
<b>March 28-31:</b> Whatever I didn't finish!!!! (no excuses allowed!)<br />
Wish me luck! Or even better join me. :) Or triple better if there is a fairy god-mother out there that wants to come do this I will send you my address stat!<br />

Once a weekly activity in my life has now become a rare rare treat. I went to see <a href="http://www.kingsspeech.com/">The King's Speech</a> at the recommendation of my mama.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><object class="BLOGGER-youtube-video" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" data-thumbnail-src="http://2.gvt0.com/vi/pzI4D6dyp_o/0.jpg" height="266" width="320"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/pzI4D6dyp_o&fs=1&source=uds" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><embed width="320" height="266" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/pzI4D6dyp_o&fs=1&source=uds" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"></embed></object></div>Now the key to this story is that as I was buying the ticket to see it I was in a pity party place. Wondering who I thought I was to try and make an idea I have into something big? Wondering why I dream of having this product on the shelves of Barnes and Noble? Wondering if this idea is worthy of a web-site? Basically, I was filled with self doubt.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb_OJBFyP1QADSdQn2WzgsA3I3oqILMussO48x2FPfEgbrLWUs4aJb-ry5bF6HDdJAiJZT7KgBd3m_o0ebjVXUmZKlR0TWSUhdOAMbsMupbuuDmYW6xELrc5lBRsbTlkhKT2YpKHNuoQjH/s1600/movie+poster.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb_OJBFyP1QADSdQn2WzgsA3I3oqILMussO48x2FPfEgbrLWUs4aJb-ry5bF6HDdJAiJZT7KgBd3m_o0ebjVXUmZKlR0TWSUhdOAMbsMupbuuDmYW6xELrc5lBRsbTlkhKT2YpKHNuoQjH/s400/movie+poster.jpg" width="265" /></a></div>But, I was excited to see the movie. I have always had a fascination with the Monarchy. The history, the "glamour", the outfits. :) I won't giveaway anything for those you who haven't seen it but the basic gist is that one of the princes (Bertie) has a severe speech impediment. They inlist the help of a man named Lionel to coach Bertie through his struggles. Here is what I loved about the Lionel character.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1LKyzxStjwN8L7sEagLEGBGeqqPrN2L0MRzswYL8T9jqMv-y3knNC8aTLNLdqsZ5HQM11aKRWRcquZL6sVh-L-iooe8G_pwoxEapPGfD7v_9uxSS32EkMSAWRYmIJ1TKzQmTSlVxmLgly/s1600/lionel.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1LKyzxStjwN8L7sEagLEGBGeqqPrN2L0MRzswYL8T9jqMv-y3knNC8aTLNLdqsZ5HQM11aKRWRcquZL6sVh-L-iooe8G_pwoxEapPGfD7v_9uxSS32EkMSAWRYmIJ1TKzQmTSlVxmLgly/s400/lionel.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>He was confident.<br />
He didn't make excuses for his rules.<br />
He believed in his methods no matter what.<br />
He pushed boundaries.<br />
He was a commoner who dreamed big.<br />
He made an impact in the world.<br />
He said he was sorry when he made mistakes.<br />
He loved his kids and family.<br />
He was fabulous! And I will remember his character for a long time to come.<br />
He may have started as a commoner to the price but he believed and knew he was more. And in the end he changed the princes world and became his friend. A treat for a prince.<br />

In the next few pages {24-27}she encourages us to <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">PLAY</span> with art. For her this means using:<br />
papers, paint, glue, fabric and more to create paintings or journals.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0AUaD0ndikCYDqeRXhtJ0p6OJFLBTwH3OhYM7kmDEOKCxeMOfCuqh-JbGnmM0hyphenhyphenJxEi4nTATZ-IvRiKBuDKN0jFMEB6cZstoXb7OB8FJpJJKF2hZ90tUuU6kSQvDectp_Wg0jBtvdCWQY/s1600/IMG_1571.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0AUaD0ndikCYDqeRXhtJ0p6OJFLBTwH3OhYM7kmDEOKCxeMOfCuqh-JbGnmM0hyphenhyphenJxEi4nTATZ-IvRiKBuDKN0jFMEB6cZstoXb7OB8FJpJJKF2hZ90tUuU6kSQvDectp_Wg0jBtvdCWQY/s400/IMG_1571.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>What does it mean for you to PLAY with art?<br />
Does that mean paper and pen?<br />
Does that mean fabric and a sewing machine?<br />
Does that mean playing with various ingredients and a oven?<br />
Does it mean playing with items from your closet to create a new outfit?<br />
It looks different for each of us.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0PQD-O0jBAg_r3J6x6PYOqRkCmVAfAoRkIHcLBck3aU5PUbHiMJQQrjWuoftdO4rgPemRFsVz86ijc8XCbZ3K3blY1gOQ6CzxYxmlH3nv9Cy1Ln6EncDS53V_LvDet42NGbkfPeROlG_V/s1600/IMG_1631.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0PQD-O0jBAg_r3J6x6PYOqRkCmVAfAoRkIHcLBck3aU5PUbHiMJQQrjWuoftdO4rgPemRFsVz86ijc8XCbZ3K3blY1gOQ6CzxYxmlH3nv9Cy1Ln6EncDS53V_LvDet42NGbkfPeROlG_V/s400/IMG_1631.JPG" width="266" /></a></div>As I started this book I was also in the beginning phase of being "crafty" for Avery's 1st birthday celebration.<br />
As I read this book I decided I was going to shift my perspective while planning the decor for her party.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3pjftoCSDO_U7dPUi1pGvVbgAVulkBnDlt3-E3-c_4MbWKajiWgnJ7ZXKLPRtg1g2J72nTd5aObVyRmHJZs7uC_1wAsrvaLWbAQb7_DI_6ctbRFakoeP7YctHxvxPr3KArCYLUzAbwGJk/s1600/IMG_1481.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3pjftoCSDO_U7dPUi1pGvVbgAVulkBnDlt3-E3-c_4MbWKajiWgnJ7ZXKLPRtg1g2J72nTd5aObVyRmHJZs7uC_1wAsrvaLWbAQb7_DI_6ctbRFakoeP7YctHxvxPr3KArCYLUzAbwGJk/s400/IMG_1481.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>Rather than being crafty I was going to be <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: large;">artsy</span>. Each area I decorated I decided to treat as a canvas. I wanted to walk away having created the perfect "painting" even if that meant giving up getting decorations done for other areas.<br />
