Teddy Bear Picnic

birthday party!
What a joy it was to help style a Teddy Bear Picnic for a good friend and her darling daughter Emma.

Mama Bear wanted something unique and not on the current party circuit. My wheels started turning and I kept coming back to a childhood song that always brought a smile.
"When you go out into the woods today..." Are you singing along? You are sure to find Teddy Bears PICNICKING
What a fun site to see, right? and so....
The Teddy Bear Picnic Party!was born.
The invitation and paper goods were custom designed by Fresh Chick Designs
Rebecca is so wonderful to work with. I highly recommend her.
We may live in the desert instead of the woods but it was perfect November(which equals Spring in Phoenix) day for a picnic.
Guests and their teddy friends were greeted upon their arrival.

The backyard was a buzz with kids playing with:
sidewalk chalk
bean bag toss
Using various circular objects from my kitchen I made this bean bag toss on a piece of plywood.
these bean bags were a quick 30 minute sewing project

Friends had paper bag lunches on the grass.
I think it is helpful for parents to have pre-packed meals rather than having to juggle plates, cups, silverware and more.

The biggest treat of all for our little friends was
the dessert table.
crepe paper dust ruffle on center basket.
The cake bunting was made with various scalloped circles cut from the Cricut.
The Teddy topper made with the Cricut as well.

Guest used strawberry baskets as plates.

chocolate dipped marshmallows were devoured.
rice krispy treats enjoyed.

And we had the most delicious ice cream cupcakes with a chocolate "wrapper" you EAT!!! They were LOVED!
As the teddy bears and their friends got tired they were treated to a custom teddy bear crayon by Artsy Fatsy Mommy and a cereal necklace in a mini gable box.

A fabulous time was had by all.
