There comes a day and time each week that I tune-out the toys covering the floor, the dishes piled in the sink and the to-do list on the edge of the counter that is lacking check marks. That day is Sundays and the time is somewhere in the eight o'clock hour. I take that time and tune-in to ABC and some "trash" TV. I don't beat myself up for this time not including exercise or reading. I just sit and let my mind wander away into the pretend lives of the ladies on Wisteria Lane and the Walker family. It may only be 2 hours of each week, but it feels like a detox from the day to day. The toys, dishes and to-do list will gladly greet me with a smile in the morning. Until then.
