Tis the Season

for trees!
I have LOVED all the ribbon trees in blog land.
Here is my set. I originally dreamed of burlap trees but once plaid took over my Christmas decor I had to go with it.

What I needed:
foam cones
a few candlesticks or odd glasses from Goodwill (nothing over .99)
white spray paint (had)
straight pins (had)
various ribbon or fabric (had)
sewing machine if you want to do a gather stitch

There were two of these sweet glasses at Goodwill.
I knew spray painted white the design would remind me of snowflakes!
The two to the left are ribbon with a gather stitch and then pinned from bottom to top of the cone.
The one on the right is ribbon cut in 2 inch squares, folded in half and pinned to the foam in each corner.
The two green ones were clearance from Target last season.
home on the kitchen table.
My favorite part of this whole project is that the glue gun was NOT involved!
